Me photographing a nurse from 12 feet away.

Everything’s shutting down around me. People are, as much as possible, starting to work from home. Today I had the opportunity to photograph doctors and nurses at a Covid-19 drive through testing center. This is it’s first day of operation. We all want to help, me included, and taking photographs and recording stories is the only thing I really know how to do. I stayed at least twelve feet back from everyone. They were all extremely nice. I think they were happy to be doing something. I’ve spent a lot of time with nurses in the past two years and know that they’re drawn to this profession by a deep desire to help people. I’d love to be able to capture their stories over the months ahead.

I’ve got a Leica m10 and a 35mm f2 lens along with an off camera flash. Trying to keep things simple.
