Linda Huss at the City of Philadelphia got back to me. After the streets department retweeted my photo of Zack and his crew the mayor retweeted it and the district attorney and a lot of other people. I’ve got permission to photograph the mayor at the daily press conference. I’ve photographed a press conference at City Hall before. Room 202, the Mayor’s Reception Room where they’re usually held is enormous  and holds I’d guess a hundred or more people. But now the press conferences are all virtual — the staff is stripped down to a skeleton crew and the reporters all call in from a teleconferencing app. I spent half the morning putting lenses into my bag and taking them out again. Will I need a telephoto? Or do I want to get the real vast, emptiness of the room. I keep adding cameras too and taking them out.
